What poetry means to me

 In my eyes I have always view poetry as a way for people to let out their feelings and put them into something beautiful whether that be happiness, anger, betrayal, sadness. Poetry to me has always had a sad meaning behind everything I read because that must be the easiest feeling to release onto paper and turn it into something else. As for me I have never found it easy to write about how I feel or my feelings. Poetry always has a deep meaning behind it whether its a short 4 line poem or a page or two long poem. I have always been interested in poetry for that reason. I like to figure out what people are thinking or going through when they wrote that poem also I like to understand the meaning behind the poem and understand why they wrote it in the first place and what made them write it. Other than that I believe poetry is a beautiful thing and it can help many people is so many ways because it can help people release what they are feeling into words.
